Format 2 ("LET FREEDOM RING" legend) - Observed serial range: C5269 PD - current high - John Clark reported in December 2025 that he stumbled upon a Facebook post about a letter the Facebook accountholder received from the Director of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. This person apparently wrote to the Governor and the head of PennDOT opining that the new Person with Disability plates should do away with the "PERSON WITH DISABILITY" legend since, according to them, the wheelchair graphic was ample notice that the driver has a disability and the legend makes it less discreet. The Director agreed and made the change. - First observed in May 2026. - "PD" moved to right side of plate. |
