Representative (State)
From The Patriot-News (Harrisburg) on March 22, 1953 (via Eric Tanner): "Those cars you may spot downtown or on the Capitol parking lots bearing 'PA' plus one or two numerals - from one to 50 - are those of your State Senators...the senators are the only class to be specially accommodated... The special privilege isn't extended to the members of the House of Representatives. Seems there are too many to be accommodated..."
From The Evening News (Harrisburg) on March 24, 1955 (via Eric Tanner): "The 210 House members have automobile license plates numbered consecutively from HR-1 for the House of Representatives..."
The predecessor to this type and Senator was Legislative, which was issued from 1928 - 1935. Click link for more information.
