Tractor Dealer

From AllAboutLicensePlates.com: "[This type] May have begun 1916, although other aspects of this law went into effect during 1915, as no effective date given. It is possible regular Dealer plates were issued starting in mid-1915 in a higher number series, since X5093 seen, yet there were only 4,834 registrations. There were 12 Tractor Dealer registrations in 1915. 1915 law required the word "DEALER" and the letter "X" on plates, so regular Dealer plates could have sufficed for 1915." Accordingly, this site believes that 1916 is the first year for this type as its own type.
